History : The first of 3 John Leek chassis ,this one was Tony Sugden's Lotus Esprit bodied version in the 1980's before being rebodied into a Skoda for the 1988 season. Pete aquired the car for the 1991 season. Pete won his class which was the 3rd running for the car itself.

Crawford

History : Oil Rig owner Crawford bought George 'Welly' Potters Esprit 7.0 that had raced in the north in the 80s. Having first raced it in a white livery Crawford returned to the tracks with the car in a wider body and dark green menacing livery.

Suggy Skoda

History : The 3rd of 3 John Leek chassis and new for 1991 replacing Tony's older version ( see above ). Backed by AET Turbos. This car would serve Tony very well right up to retirement at the end of the 2003 season with development and a few livery changes along the way.

Beetle 1991

History : Built 1976 by racer legend Mick Hill who after sorting early issues sold the car to Doug Niven who won 47 races in 1978/79 before his driver/mechanic Jeff Wilson took over. Terry King bought the car for 1982 before going to Thomalla. At the final round it was Chris Parton who raced it but the car was damaged in a crash at Oulton Park but would return. Now fully restored by Dave Taylor.

Ellis

History : Ellis had been a regular in the series since 1986 when he won the title outright in his heavy modified Aston Martin. Developed more by 1991 whilst not doing the full season won 3 races outright of 4 starts and broke the series lap record at Mallory with a 43.3 and lowered thwe record back at Oulton in the finale with a 1m 34.88.

Engine : Vauxhall Lotus 2600cc ( 270 bhp )
History : The 2nd of 3 John Leek chassis and still raced by Bob today in the same livery. Raced in at least 8 rounds in 1991. Bob used the Skoda body from the old Chris Simms Chevron-based car ( or at least a mould ) plus the ex-Dryden Lotus engine from his Vauxhall Firenza all wrapped up with a John Leek chassis.

Kitten

Driver : BRIAN SCHOLEY

Car : Neil Walker-built RELAINT KITTTEN
Engine : Rover V8 4.0
History : Built by racer Neil Walker in 1984 as a spaceframe with Kitten body ,Rover power and Jaguar brakes. Bought by Brian Scholey 1990 and raced until 1997 before going to Scotland as a Hillclimb car. Returned to the tracks 2014 with Si Frowen. 3rd in class at season finale was its best season finish for this extraordinary car.
