For 1978+79 the car was campaigned by Julian Unsworth from Norwich and sponsored by 'Mr.Shoes Discount Footware Ltd' . He finished joint 6th overall in the BARC-Y 'Bedale Garage' Championship with fellow class A rival Jimmy Robertson 2 points behind class winner Walter Robertson.

Geoff posted this video short of himself racing the Mazda in the late 70s on youtube in 2011. He addded this description :
Spec List: Koni F1 Dampers, March F5000 rear uprights, E-Type LSD Diff, March F5000 centre lock wheels, Chevy F5000 5LTR 480bhp, Carillo Rods, steel crank, Venolia pistons, full race big valve heads, ally roller rockers, full race cam, 4x 48 IDA downdraft carbs, F5000 headers, Tilton 3 plate clutch, Borg Warner T10 gearbox with remote linkage (I built that to get the gearbox further back hence engine under the windscreen to reduce weight on the front wheels). engine as far back as regs allowed at that time.
Fibreglass one piece front ,twin alloy rads in front of rear wheels, Engine was a fixed stressed member of the space framed chassis . Brakes werent that great, March
F3 front, Escort inboard at rear. All suspension was home built and chromed. Car built by Geoff Clement and Phil Gower in a lock up garage in Bexley Kent. It never reached its potential before being sold. If anyone knows what happend to it please leave a note. Sold in 1978
